George Daranyi was born in Lima,
Peru in 1957. He has been in America since 1965, and became an
American citizen in 1989. He is a noted attorney, intervention
coordinator, lecturer, workshop facilitator and poet. To see

An attorney since 1983, he began his private practice in Tucson, Arizona in 1998. In addition to his legal work, Mr. Daranyi is a certified leader of men's educational trainings for The ManKind Project, an international non-profit men's support organization. Mr. Daranyi is serving as the Chairman of the international organization until February of 2011. Mr. Daranyi also coordinates interventions for persons who are afflicted with a broad range of problems including alcoholism, addiction, gambling, depression and anxiety. Mr. Daranyi is also a lecturer and workshop facilitator, concentrating in the areas of Self-Care, relapse prevention, spirituality and men's issues. His legal practice consists primarily of representing families whose members have contracted cancer as a result of the U.S. government's extensive program of above ground nuclear testing in Nevada during the 1950's and during July of 1962. He also represents onsite testing participants, civil employees who handled nuclear materials and uranium miners, millers and ore transporters. Mr. Daranyi is married and the father of two daughters. From 1991-1996, he held the position of General Counsel of NextHealth, Inc., a publicly held healthcare and wellness company. NextHealth owned and operated the renowned treatment facility, Sierra Tucson. From 1987 to 1991, Mr. Daranyi was a litigation associate with Snell and Wilmer in both Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona. Between 1983 and 1987, he served as a litigation associate with the law firm of Cowles and Thompson in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Daranyi obtained his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1983 and his Bachelor's of Arts Degrees from Hillsdale College in 1980.
